About Catherine​

​

Catherine is currently a stay at home mum taking a break from a previously robust home studio and student base at Somerset College.​ 

​

For 8 years she taught the beginner programme at Somerset, as well as Senior String Orchestra (Grade 7-12), Piano Trio and String Quartet. She has also taught at various other schools across the Gold Coast.

​

Growing up on the Gold Coast herself, Catherine was taught by Belinda Manwaring (her current Suzuki Teacher Trainer and Colleague) and Mei-Lee and Marcus Stocker at the Griffith Conservatorium of Music, Queensland. 

​

Catherine has a strong passion for classical music and chamber music as well as teaching. She has had extensive training from leading pedagogues from around the world and continues to seek more constantly.

​

Currently, she teaches using the Suzuki Method, as it provides a wholesome and supportive environment for the student to flourish.
